  • Social Media is about interaction: it’s not about you, don’t just sale or promote your product, it won’t work, interact with people.
  • Spamming: is not a good strategy to use in social media, let’s not work that way, if people don’t want it don’t send it. Getting permission to send someone information is a key to marketing.
  • Don’t be a snob: – social media is for interaction and in marketing you need to interact with your customers or potential clients. Social media marketing is about being social; be willing to learn and listen from people you meet online.
  • Inconsistency will lead to failure: It is very important to 1st lay out your plan and end result you want to obtain before jumping on the bandwagon. Be consistent in using social media, the more you use it effectively, the more successful your plans would be. Most people give up after of monthly because of unrealistic expectations and lack of time.
  • Want to have followers?  You will have to be a follower: It’s like having a newly opened grocery store and expecting everyone to just show up in your front door. You cannot sign up and start off in social media thinking everyone is just going to come and follow you. You must be a follower. Social marketing isn’t about flying solo, participate.
